Remixed and re-imagined, Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda's dissatisfaction with the opposite sex is no longer an unquestioned desire to follow the expectations of conventional heterosexuality. This is the first of six videos in the Sex and the Remix series. Each season of SATC will be remixed into an episode, building upon the story line established in the previous work.
The queering of on-screen relationships are especially important for LGBTQ fans and allies who have so few options of characters to identify with in popular culture. This remix is classified as fair use in accordance with Title 17 U.S.C. Section 107.

An English professor, author, and feminist, shes also a vidder of long-standing and provides a fascinating glimpse into how the underground culture of women in video grew from working with tapes to the current digital environment — with all of the dangers and opportunities that change entails.

In the second episode of "We Are Creators Too," Public Knowledge's Art Brodsky interviews "pop-culture pirate and hacktivist" Elisa Kreisinger, who has challenged main stream media's portrayal of gender by remixing video using clips from pop-culture.
